About the role
- Define and enforce zero-trust, post-quantum security architecture across the entire stack.
- Lead hands-on smart-contract audits, formal verification, and red-team operations.
- Direct post-quantum migration (ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA) for consensus, transport, and enclaves.
- Secure trillion-parameter LLM training and inference against model theft, poisoning, and prompt attacks.
- Own incident response, blockchain forensics, crisis management, and bug-bounty program.
- Build and run internal red team targeting bridges, oracles, and AI APIs.
- Drive privacy-by-design: ε=0.5 differential privacy, zk-proof lineage, FHE execution, and right-to-be-forgotten.
- Deliver audit-ready compliance frameworks and represent Autheo in regulatory engagements.
- Hire, mentor, and scale the security organization as we grow from 50 to 500+ engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years in information security with ≥5 years as CISO/VP Security at a blockchain, fintech, or infrastructure unicorn
- Hands-on experience shipping and defending Layer 1/2 protocols and DeFi products at >$10 B TVL
- Proven leadership of post-quantum cryptography migrations and/or AI/LLM security programs
- Track record achieving SOC 2 Type II, HITRUST, or equivalent in crypto/AI environments
- Deep expertise in applied cryptography, formal methods, and privacy engineering.
- CISSP, CISM, CIPP/E + publications or patents in crypto/AI security are nice to have.
- Experience testifying or engaging with regulators on crypto or AI Act compliance is also considered nice to have.
- Former founder or early security leader at a unicorn exit is also a plus.
