About the role
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition guidance in Multi Element Arrangement scenarios
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.
- Perform month end close following established processes and deadlines.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts.
- Reconcile corporate credit cards ensuring all transactions have supporting documentation.
- Perform intercompany accounts reconciliation between our various companies.
- Coordinate with our international affiliates to receive their monthly trial balances for consolidations.
- Assist Global Controller with revenue recognition tasks
- Approach all tasks analytically with cogent conceptual understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
- Assist with financial audits preparation and testing
- Maintain adequate internal controls over financial processes.
- Complete ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting
- CPA license preferred
- Deadline driven
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience preferably in multi company environment
- Practical experience with ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts and revenue recognition rules
- Relevant accounting experience in technology driven industries, Software, IT, SaaS, Shared Services
- Excellent accounting and analytical skills; able to quickly master job duties and take on additional responsibilities with a positive team-player attitude.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel is a MUST
- NetSuite, BlueLogix and Workday experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills/sense of urgency/multi-task in a fast-paced tech environment
- Self-starter, MUST be able to learn new accounting systems fast with minimum supervision.
