About the role
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
- Preparation of VAT returns, statistical reports and recapitulative statements (Zusammenfassende Meldung)
- Preparation of liquidity planning
- Management of accounts payable
- Coding and posting of all business transactions
- Performing account reconciliations
- Preparation of group-relevant reporting and forecasts
- Handling accounting-related technical and process issues in national and international accounting and tax law
- Analysis and optimization of closing-related processes
- Point of contact for all matters related to financial statements and for external auditors
- Ensuring smooth communication between various departments and the parent company
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial training with several years of experience in finance or a degree in business administration, preferably with a focus on accounting
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting under HGB & IFRS
- Several years of professional experience in accounting, financial statement preparation and optimization of closing-related processes
- Very good written and spoken English
- Solid knowledge of current MS Office products
- Strong numerical affinity
- Excellent team skills and a hands-on mentality
- Independent, reliable and structured way of working
