About the role
- Provide mechanical and equipment engineering support with technical deliverables for nuclear power plant components
- Perform conceptual and detail design activities for mechanical systems
- Supporting manufacturing, assembly, testing and commissioning tasks
- Define project work scope, monitoring project progress and communicating with clients
- Review and approve supplier’s capability to fabricate required components
Requirements
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Engineering Science
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical Design of industrial machines or Equipment Engineering
- Knowledge in pumps, fans, motors, valves, heat exchanges, steam generators, pressure vessels, etc.
- Experience working on Nuclear ECC process
- Qualification as a Specialized Professional Engineer to ASME Section III in the last five (5) years is an asset
- Registered Professional Engineer in Province of Ontario
- Solid understanding of process systems, mechanics of machines, and fundamentals of machine component design
