About the role
- Conduct product, user research, and analysis to inform and improve the design and functionality of products and services, ensuring they meet user needs and enhance overall user experience.
- Develop and implement comprehensive research plans and methodologies to gather user insights that inform high-level design and product decisions across the organization.
- Knowledge and experience with applied qualitative and quantitative research methods including generative, formative, and evaluative methods.
- Analyze and interpret complex research data to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to integrate user research findings into the design and development process.
- Create detailed user personas and journey maps based on comprehensive research data.
- Continuously iterate on research methods and processes to ensure they remain effective and innovative.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
- 7+ years of related experience.
- Certification is required in some areas.
- Ideal candidate has an MS or PhD in a human behavior-related field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
