About the role
- Monitor and analyze performance strategies to identify opportunities and develop action plans to exceed financial targets.
- Drive financial planning by analyzing performance and portfolio risks using KPI frameworks.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews with results, remediation plans, and strategic recommendations.
- Build and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts; track KPIs.
- Monitor financial health and ensure positive cash flow.
- Develop strategies to improve ROI and profitability.
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate finance.
- Participate in acquisition and divestiture processes.
- Apply Valsoft Finance best practices across the portfolio.
- Serve as the finance lead for newly acquired companies.
- Oversee and review accounting tasks including tax and compliance.
- Own the monthly financial close process for portfolio companies.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Build processes ensuring compliance with corporate policies and reporting requirements.
- Manage differences between consolidation policies and statutory reporting.
- Ensure strong internal controls; evaluate and optimize policies and procedures.
- Improve internal reporting efficiency.
- Support corporate audits and lead annual statutory audits.
- Ensure timely completion of all filings.
- Set targets and supervise accounting and finance personnel (Accounting, FP&A, AR, AP).
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team in a decentralized environment.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Train and coach team members to ensure they have the knowledge and tools to succeed.
- Support NetSuite rollout and ensure data integrity.
- Conduct system assessments, identify automation opportunities, and direct implementations.
- Improve financial systems and related processes.
- Develop and execute financial integration and onboarding plans for new acquisitions.
- Lead ERP implementations, account mapping, reporting rollouts, and governance standards.
- Establish and maintain monthly reporting cadences and verify deliverable accuracy.
- Identify and remediate differences in accounting policies.
- Prepare purchase price allocations and ensure accuracy of opening balance sheets.
- Calculate and monitor deferred acquisition payments.
- Create first bottom-up forecasts with newly acquired businesses.
- Apply Valsoft KPI management framework across integrations.
Requirements
- CPA designation with a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role, including 3+ years of team management.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and ability to balance efficiency with compliance.
- Experience supporting business integrations with the ability to navigate conflicting stakeholder needs.
- Fast learner with strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite (or similar ERP).
- Strong process-improvement and system-thinking capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
