About the role

  • Lead a team of planners to develop, evaluate and optimize seasonal finished goods capacity and production plans across the finished goods supplier network
  • Manage team workload, mentor planners, and drive department KPIs in a culture of continuous improvement
  • Own the finished goods capacity plan, monitor for risks/opportunities and provide recommendations to mitigate gaps through planning and procurement cycles
  • Maintain healthy capacity utilization rates across the supplier network to support business objectives and factory partnerships
  • Manage relationships with manufacturers to drive supplier performance (growth, on-time delivery, quality, communication, flexibility)
  • Partner with regional Production Management, Sourcing, Global Supply Planning, Merchandise Planning & Allocations, Raw Material Planning, Product Development, and Commercial teams to coordinate production prioritization and support inventory goals
  • Escalate pre and post buy issues to appropriate global and regional planning partners with alternative opportunities and recommendations for resolution
  • Maintain knowledge of factories and related processes and adhere to Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Responsible Sourcing policies
  • Develop and maintain departmental SOPs, training documents, and lead team development through coaching, objective setting and performance management
  • Work with Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in Supply Planning or equivalent Supply Chain position, preferably in Apparel or relevant industry, with 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Certifications in American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or Project management
  • Proven people management skills; desire to lead, train and mentor individuals
  • Strong communication and business presentation skills
  • Solid knowledge of SAP and/or equivalent ERP/ Planning systems and order management processes
  • Advanced analytical skills with a strong aptitude for spreadsheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
  • Self-starter, proactive in identifying root causes and developing solutions
  • Flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • Eligible to work in Canada
