About the role

  • Owns marketing and communications for assigned AMA products, including events, community programs, and the AMA Foundation.
  • Plan, develop, and execute integrated campaigns across email, web, social, and paid media channels in partnership with the internal growth marketing team and external media agency.
  • Guide cross-functional teams toward alignment on marketing strategy, messaging, tactics, and timelines.
  • Write compelling marketing copy for emails, web pages, direct mail, and on-site event materials that resonate with target audiences.
  • For events, lead the development and execution of onsite brand touchpoints, including signage, push notifications, and other brand engagement opportunities.
  • Analyze performance and report on key metrics to measure effectively and inform future marketing efforts.
  • Uses customer research and data to inform and refine marketing strategies.
  • Liaison to external partners such as printers, freelance designers, and agencies to provide direction and feedback.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a comparable field
  • 2-4 years minimum experience in executing integrated marketing plans with a background in planning, copywriting, and producing marketing materials for digital and traditional platforms
  • 2 or more years of experience in Event Marketing
  • Copywriting experience for marketing materials (ex: emails, web pages and social posts)
  • Experience with CRM, CMS, and email automation platforms (We use Salesforce, Wordpress, and HubSpot!).
  • A detail-oriented, highly organized way of working, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • The ability to travel up to 2 AMA events throughout the year.
