About the role

  • Manage day-to-day operations for a key portion of our 24/7 threat detection coverage
  • Focus on building a strong team, maintaining reliable shift schedules, driving execution against clear KPIs, and ensuring high-quality detections and escalations for our customers
  • Work closely with Ambient leadership in Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to align team’s work with customer and corporate goals
  • Lead and develop a team of Threat Detection Analysts, driving hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure timely and accurate alert triage, escalation, and documentation in alignment with SOPs
  • Monitor key performance metrics (response time, false positive rates, documentation quality) to guide continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with TDAC leadership, People Ops, and Product/Data teams to identify trends, optimize detection workflows, and improve tool and playbook performance
  • Partner with Customer Success to train customer SOC/GSOC teams and represent TDAC operations in customer sessions and QBRs
  • Provide clear updates and insights to internal and external stakeholders on incidents, patterns, and overall performance
  • Identify recurring pain points, contribute to SOP and process refinements, and participate in pilots of new tools and workflows

Requirements

  • 3+ years in physical security operations, GSOC/SOC, security command centers, or a closely related operational environment
  • 1+ years managing or leading teams of analysts or operators in a 24/7 or high-tempo setting
  • Strong people management skills: setting expectations, coaching, performance management, and building healthy team culture
  • Experience creating and managing shift schedules, preferably in a 24/7 operations
  • Comfortable running to metrics: you know how to use simple dashboards and KPIs to steer day-to-day operations and coach your team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with operators, peers, and cross-functional partners
  • Able to write clear incident summaries and operational updates
  • Comfortable representing your team in customer-facing or cross-functional conversations when needed
  • Hands-on, “working manager” approach - you’re close enough to the work to understand it, but focused on enabling the team
  • Pragmatic and process-oriented: you care about consistency, clarity, and continuous improvement over abstract strategy decks
  • Comfortable in changing environments; willing to adapt as we learn and scale
