About the role
- Lead and manage a team of software developers, ensuring their professional growth and productivity
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in backend, frontend, and desktop development.
- Work closely with developers and testers to produce high-quality technical documentation, including release notes, specifications, and system diagrams.
- Collaborate on both short and long term product roadmaps, providing technical input, feasibility assessments, and resource planning.
- Assist in managing and coordinating major software releases, ensuring smooth deployments and cross-team alignment
- Coordinate testing plans and ensure proper QA coverage and software quality standards
- Work with business analysts to refine, validate, and develop detailed technical requirements.
- Manage development tasks and roadmaps using Confluence.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects and cross-team dependencies, ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are met.
- Review, evaluate, and accept/reject idea requests and enhancement proposals.
- Develop a strong understanding of the emergency notification industry including competitor products, features, and capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- At least five (5) years of leadership experience leading software development teams
- Proven experience in software development, with strong backend, frontend, and desktop development skills.
- Experience with SDLC best practices, technical documentation, testing coordination, and structured release management.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent leadership and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Outstanding communication skills
- Experience with Source Control and visual project management tools (e.g. Confluence & Trello)
