About the role

  • Design and model complex systems—either plumbing or piping—based on provided specifications
  • Ensure all associated drawings, calculations, and material lists are accurate and complete
  • Collaborate with project teams to coordinate comprehensive systems that vary in size and scope
  • Operate independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and ensure quality

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Design, Civil Engineering, Computer-Aided Drafting/Design, or a related field
  • Proficiency in recent versions of software, including Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Equivalent field experience managing large commercial or industrial construction projects that involve fabrication and coordination responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of building construction
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Solid math and problem-solving skills
  • Manage design schedules and lead coordination efforts
  • For plumbing designers, a working knowledge of Wisconsin Plumbing Code is necessary
  • For piping designers, experience with steam and hydronic systems is required
