About the role
- Completes daily and monthly valuation processes (pricing) for Aflac’s $100+ billion investment portfolio
- Applies knowledge of mathematical, financial, and/or computational principles to assist in development and implementation of quantitative valuation models
- Maintains securities of interest (SoI) lists/tables in external and internal resources to facilitate automated and manual data feeds to pricing data warehouses and downstream applications
- Interacts with other areas in Investments, such as Portfolio Managers, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance and Analytics
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other quantitatively intensive field
- Six years of professional job-related work experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid practical knowledge of investments and/or derivatives, fixed income and equity pricing, and portfolio valuation
- Demonstrated technical proficiency with financial software and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python, R, SQL, C++, etc.) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
