About the role
- Lead engineering teams across CI/CD, developer workflows, shared utilities, and automation platforms
- Act as a liaison to partner engineering teams, evangelizing the mission and roadmap of Developer Productivity
- Inspire internal teams to contribute via open-source and open-contribution models
- Review and guide architecture, design, test strategies, and delivery plans
- Manage project risks and drive creative problem-solving
- Develop and evolve engineering and business processes to optimize team efficiency
- Represent the team and strategy at internal and external industry events
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 10+ years in engineering leadership roles
- Proven success building reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud services
- Deep empathy for developers as primary stakeholders
- Strong understanding of CI/CD systems, developer tooling, cloud infrastructure, and operational metrics
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing managers and leading cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred)
