About the role

  • Responsible for maintaining timeline and process during the new business process and renewal process
  • Effectively communicate within the team environment
  • Review insurance policies and contracts and make recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare property and casualty insurance submissions
  • Analyze excel spreadsheets of prospect client exposure and/or loss data
  • Maintain familiarity and working relationships with various insurance companies and wholesalers
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information
  • Rating policies in carrier systems to assist in the quoting and proposal development process
  • Abide by and maintain all licensing requirements, including continuing education
  • Attend seminars, company meetings, carrier events and educational activities
  • Perform coverage gap analysis and deliver strategic recommendations
  • Work independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring projects
  • Identify opportunities to engage Risk Resources for specialized expertise

Requirements

  • 3-5 years relevant insurance experience required, with an emphasis on middle-to-large market placements
  • Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work with minimum supervision; able to accept directions given assignments
  • Proficient with MS Office Products, Placement including a high knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Experience with Epic a plus
  • College degree preferred
  • Must currently hold an applicable insurance license
  • Pursuit of a professional designation – CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU - preferred
