About the role

  • Maximize preferred vendors HUB to achieve utilization objectives & partner fulfillment targets.
  • Source independent housing providers and service vendors when internal inventory does not meet claim needs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the most favorable rates, terms, and service levels.
  • Work with the Vendor Management team to build and maintain a diverse network of reliable vendors and partners to ensure flexible, scalable sourcing capacity.
  • Continuously evaluate vendor performance and cost competitiveness, sharing feedback with the Vendor Management Team to enhance the relationship.
  • Analyze claims and strategically position available housing and service solutions to maximize service delivery and business opportunity.
  • Oversee pricing, negotiation, and selection strategies to ensure solutions align with both client expectations and internal performance objectives.
  • Track key performance metrics (i.e. cost-to-placement ratios, time to placement, cost per claim) and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to forecast and manage profitability trends.
  • Oversee the end-to-end solution process to ensure accuracy, speed, and compliance with policy coverage.
  • Navigate and troubleshoot issues that arise during placements (e.g., property concerns, client dissatisfaction, vendor disputes) in a manner that minimizes liability for Accomsure.
  • Apply strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to assess issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions that protect company interests and maintain service quality.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of applicable governing laws, including Residential Tenancy Acts and other housing regulations, to ensure compliant interactions with landlords, property managers, and clients.
  • Proactively navigate potential legal or contractual risks related to accommodations and take steps to minimize exposure or disputes.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for issue resolution and de-escalation.
  • Ensure that all placement decisions prioritize safety, service quality, and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sourcing and placement specialists focused on both operational excellence and financial performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Claims Management, Finance, and the broader Sales teams to deliver seamless claim outcomes.
  • Contribute insights to product strategy and process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA or equivalent experience an asset).
  • 5+ years of experience in product, operations, or account management roles — ideally within insurance real-estate, property management (housing), hospitality, or procurement sectors.
  • Proven experience in revenue management, with a track record of meeting profitability and cost-reduction goals.
  • Strong background in vendor sourcing and negotiation, with demonstrated success in building and managing supplier relationships.
  • Experience leading teams in fast-paced, service-oriented environments where operational accuracy and customer satisfaction are critical.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills; comfortable interpreting cost structures, and profitability metrics.
  • Proficiency with CRM (HubSpot) and database systems for managing inventory, claims, and vendor records.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel (or equivalent) skills for margin tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing both customers and suppliers toward win-win outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach team members toward performance goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities; able to handle complex, high-pressure situations while minimizing company risk.
  • High degree of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
