About the role

  • Direct planning, development and presentation of training programs for claims staff, field support personnel and management
  • Provide specialized support in identifying learning objectives and evaluating staff; identify skills, knowledge, and abilities to enhance company objectives
  • Recommend, develop, implement, and evaluate training; provide coaching to shape, change, or modify employee and management behavior
  • Assist staff in achieving Claims objectives across all claim handling and service delivery channels
  • Serve as communication link between employees, management, executives, and administrative units
  • Research, develop, schedule and conduct information and skill-building programs; support training initiatives and roll-outs in classroom and one-on-one
  • Develop training program follow-up to support on-the-job application of information and skills
  • Maintain awareness of claims strategies and objectives; consult with executives and senior management to meet claims goals
  • Analyze individual employee skills and knowledge, identify gaps, and provide recommendations to management
  • Provide one-to-one and group training and coaching; perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelors (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 4-6 years Claims handling and/or corporate training
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Moderate analytical and quantitative skills required
  • Advanced proficiency with standard IBM PC software including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Project and Access preferred
  • Advanced familiarity with Claims and negotiations techniques, technology, procedures, product, benefits and service, and member/customer relations management
  • Valid Driver's License, acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles record and minimum liability insurance - Issued by State
